The blurb
“Tiffany Aching, the young witch from The Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky and Wintersmith is back in a new adventure featuring Discworld characters both familiar to fans (like Granny Weatherwax) and new (meet Wee Mad Arthur, the Nac Mac Feegle on the City Watch). Oh, and there's a shambles, a twist through time, a Cunning Man - and a Giant Man of chalk.”
Not the best Discworld book, but then again the witch-books have never been my favorites, even though since Miss Aching did her first appearance in The Wee Free Men they have clearly grown on me.
The book didn’t leave me with any lasting impression, suddenly it was over and I choose a new book to read. Nevertheless I would still recommend it as good read, be sure to read the other Aching-books first though. The Wee free men, A hatfull of sky and Wintersmith
I have high expectations for the next Discworld book however [Number 39 for anyone who’s counting] Snuff, Sam Vimes are more my style. This, in a way, highlights one of the best points of the Discworld-series, you might not like all the books you just have to find which characters does it for you.
