From the bookshop

Today I had my Christmas gift [a gift certificate] exchanged to four new lovely books, with some small change to spare for the upcoming annual book sale on the 22:nd. Thank you grandma and grandpa!

Today's purchase:
  • Johannes Cabal the fear institute - Jonathan L Howard
  • Blameless - Gail Carriger
  • Changeless - Gail Carriger
  • Farlander - Col Buchanan

Johannes Cabal the fear institute
Ever since I saw the book covers of the Johannes Cabal-series I've wanted them. I believe the series will be right up my ally as well, witty dry humour, set in a gloomy world. You would think I knew the answer to such a question of course, considering I just bought the third book... but alas no, book one keeps evading me.

Blameless & Changeless
I read the first book in the Alexia Tarabottie novels on my flight from Sweden to Japan and liked it so much that when I found a cheap copy of the fourth book over there I instantly bought it. I am happy that I now might get to read that copy. And that I finally get to revisit Ms Carrigers steam punk England.

Farlander
The last one of the four was more a spur of the moment purchase. Don't rightly know if it's a book I'll like but it sure has received some splendid reviews. Assassin books does so easily transform in to young teen fantasy...
